Checklist #5: How Will You Clean My HVAC System?

Unless you are shown visual proof for each of the following areas, you don’t know and can’t tell whether or not the cleaning company did what you paid them to do . . . Demand Visual Proof!

Make certain they show you pictures of these areas of your HVAC system before they leave your home. If they send you pictures later it could be of some other system . . . not yours!

Demand pictures of all these areas of your system:

2 Supply Branch views - Full Length
2 Return Branch Views - Full Length
Supply Trunk Line - Full Length
Return Trunk Line - Full Length
AC Evaporator Coils - Top
AC Evaporator Coils - Bottom
Condensate Drain Pan
Heat Exchanger - Bottom
Burner Compartment
Motor/Blower Assembly
Blower Compartment

Your company should offer visual proof the system is clean using video or photo proof before you write them a check. Some companies just offer to show you how much debris came out of the system . . . your system could still be dirty!
