Checklist #3: Protection From Cross Contamination
Protection
from Cross-Contamination means that you and your family won’t be
subjected to someone else’s dirt, mold, bacteria, animal hair, and
animal dander. In other words, you and your family won’t have to
breathe someone else’s filth.
A company can be NADCA certified even the tech that does the cleaning
can be NADCA certified, but they do not have to clean to NADCA standards
in order to maintain NADCA Certification. They can cut corners, skip tests
all together, contaminate your home, and still maintain certification.
While they may be “certified” whether or not they actually
follow and clean to NADCA standards is a different matter!
To clean to standards enough suction must be created in your system to
prevent contaminants in the portion of the duct being cleaned from spreading
to other parts of the system and/or the living spaces in the home. THIS
IS CALLED CROSS-CONTAMINATION.
Monster Vac has the most powerful truck mounted equipment in the business-powerful
enough to create the suction required to prevent cross contamination.
When it comes to suction . . .MORE IS BETTER.
You should also demand that the tools your HVAC Company uses are clean.
If they bring in equipment that has not been cleaned after their last
job they can contaminate your home with someone else’s filth.
Monster Vac cleans their equipment after each job and places it in a sealed
bag. When your HVAC company comes to clean demand they have all their
sanitized brushes and tools in sealed bags, and have them open these bags
with you watching.
If you are not protected from cross contamination by having your HVAC
Company clean to all NADCA standards, STOP! . . . unless
you want to breathe someone else’s FILTH!
